Quicks Privacy Policy
Originally effective: 13 January 2022
Effective date of this revision: 14 October 2026
Last updated: 14 October 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how personal data is used for the Quicks AI tutoring and language-learning service, its onboarding and payment pages, and the related applications and features that link to this Policy (Service). It covers product use, subscriptions, customer support and your choices about personal data. It is a privacy notice, not a request for blanket consent.
1. Who is responsible for your data
Purple Studio HQ Ltd, incorporated in Cyprus, registration number ΗΕ 417299, registered office 18 Kastorias, Apt. 402, 1055 Lykavittos, Nicosia, Cyprus (Purple), is the controller for your account, learning interactions and operation of the Service. A controller determines why and how personal data is processed.
STICKERPLACE INC., incorporated in Delaware, United States, registration number 6894934, registered office 160 Greentree DR STE 101, Dover DE 19904, USA (Stickerplace), is the controller for the sales, billing, tax, refund and purchase-dispute data it processes when it sells your subscription. If Purple is your Seller, Purple is responsible for that purchase processing. If an app store or a third-party merchant of record is identified as your Seller, its own privacy notice explains its purchase processing. Purple remains responsible for operation of the Quicks product.
References to we or us mean the company responsible for the relevant activity. You may send any privacy question or request to support@quicks.ai; we route it to the responsible company. You can also write to that company at its address above.
2. Data we collect and where it comes from
Account and learning profile. We receive the information you enter when registering or completing onboarding, such as your email, account identifier, chosen language, current level, goals and preferences. If you use a third-party login, we receive the account details that provider shares with your authorisation. Information marked as required is necessary to create or secure your account; other profile fields are optional.
Learning interactions. We process the text, prompts, answers, corrections and learning activity involved in your conversations with the AI tutor. Voice features also involve processing microphone audio and, where needed, speech-to-text results to understand and respond to you. We retain only the minimum learning information needed to personalise your experience, rather than an archive of audio recordings or transcripts.
Audio and transcripts. Quicks does not retain source audio recordings, separate conversation transcripts or voiceprints. Audio and any temporary transcription are processed to provide the requested response. External AI and speech providers, and a messaging platform you use, may retain data under their applicable terms and settings; our own non-retention of audio is not a promise of zero retention by those providers. Sections 4, 5 and 7 explain these distinctions.
Purchase data. The Seller and its payment partners process information needed to handle subscriptions, such as billing contact details, plan, amount, currency, tax location where needed, transaction and subscription identifiers, payment status, cancellations, refunds and disputes. Card or bank details may be collected directly by the payment provider. Purple and Stickerplace receive the transaction and billing information made available through the relevant payment integration to the extent needed for their roles. Provider handling is governed by the applicable payment terms and privacy notice, including https://stripe.com/privacy for Stripe. Different payment methods may involve different data and recipients.
Technical and usage data. Depending on the functions you use, we process connection and device information needed to deliver and protect the Service, such as IP address, browser or app version, timestamps and error or security events. The additional analytics and tracking actually used are described in section 6. Approximate location may be derived from your IP address; we do not need precise device location for language practice.
Support and communications. We receive your messages, attachments, request history and any information you choose to provide when contacting us. We also keep records of consents, withdrawals, privacy requests and delivery of essential service notices. Purchase updates may come from Stripe, banks or app stores; account and subscription status may pass between Purple and the Seller as described below.
Do not submit another person’s information without lawful authority or include sensitive information unnecessary for language learning, such as health records, identity-document details or payment-card details. Removing a name does not necessarily make a conversation anonymous if someone can still be identified from its context.
3. Purposes and legal bases
Where the GDPR or similar rules apply, each responsible company uses the following legal bases only to the extent the processing is necessary for the stated purpose.
Accounts and requested learning features
Purple uses account details, your chosen learning profile and relevant Input to provide access, generate responses, maintain learning progress and deliver the features you request. The basis is performance of the contract with you, including steps you ask us to take before entering it. If you do not provide the data necessary for a feature, that feature may not work. You may use available text features without enabling microphone access.
Purchases and billing
The Seller processes billing details and transaction records to take payment, provide paid access, manage renewals, cancellation and refunds, and answer purchase requests. The basis is performance of your purchase contract. Tax, accounting and legally required records are retained to meet legal obligations. Purple and the Seller exchange the minimum information needed to connect your payment with your access.
Security and support
We use relevant account, technical, transaction and support data to investigate faults, prevent fraud and abuse, protect accounts and handle complaints or legal claims. Contract necessity applies to support needed to provide the agreed Service. Otherwise we rely on our legitimate interests in operating a secure service and protecting legal rights, after considering the impact on you; legal obligations apply where a specific law requires the processing.
Optional analytics and marketing
Optional analytics and marketing are subject to the legal basis required for the activity and your location. Where consent is required, the relevant processing requires your prior consent; acceptance of this Policy is not that consent. Where permitted, direct marketing may rely on our legitimate interest in communicating relevant offers, subject to your right to object. You may unsubscribe or contact support@quicks.ai at any time. Necessary account, security, payment and cancellation messages are separate from marketing.
We do not rely on agreement to this Policy as consent to every activity. Where consent is the basis, withdrawal stops future consent-based processing without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
4. AI processing and access to data
Purple sends the parts of your prompt, temporary conversation context, audio or speech-to-text results needed to generate a response to the relevant AI or speech provider. Personalisation may also use your learning level, goals, preferences and the minimum learning information retained for your account. AI processing may produce inaccurate responses or inferences. You can correct information you provide or ask us to correct personal data.
We use API services from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google and xAI (Grok). Depending on the feature, these services generate responses, process language, recognise speech or generate speech where supported. The provider receives the input and context required for its function and associated technical request information. Not every provider receives every interaction. The particular API, model and service configuration may change as the product develops.
Quicks does not use your learning content to train AI models. Personalising your lessons is separate from training a general AI model. External providers’ handling of API data, including any training or improvement use, depends on the applicable API terms, service tier, settings and contractual arrangements. We do not make a blanket promise that every possible API configuration has identical rules. Provider information is linked in section 7. Changes requiring additional information or consent remain subject to applicable law.
Access to personal data is limited to authorised persons who need it for providing and protecting the Service, responding to your support request, resolving a dispute or complying with law. This does not mean that Quicks keeps recordings or transcripts that it otherwise does not retain.
The AI tutor automatically generates responses, exercises, feedback and learning suggestions. These are learning aids, not binding assessments or professional decisions. Where applicable law gives you rights concerning a decision based solely on automated processing with legal or similarly significant effects, you may contact support@quicks.ai to request information, challenge the decision or seek human review as provided by that law.
5. Who receives data
Purple and the Seller. We exchange account identifiers, contact details, plan and subscription status, transaction references and the information needed for refunds, support or disputes. Billing alone does not require Stickerplace to receive the substance of private learning conversations. If content is needed to resolve a specific complaint, access is limited to what is necessary. We limit personal data in internal commercial reporting and use aggregated information where individual records are unnecessary.
Payment partners. Stripe, PayPro Global, app stores and other payment partners identified during checkout receive or collect data needed to take payments, prevent fraud, manage subscriptions and handle refunds or disputes. Depending on the service, a partner may act on a Seller’s instructions or as an independent controller or merchant of record. The provider identified for your transaction explains its own processing in its privacy notice. Using a processor does not remove our responsibility for data we control.
Payment provider information: https://stripe.com/privacy and https://payproglobal.com/legal/. The privacy notice shown by the provider during your purchase applies to its processing.
Service providers. We use providers for hosting, databases, authentication, AI and speech processing, email, support, security, and the analytics or advertising activities described in section 6. They receive data relevant to their function. Where a provider processes data on our instructions, applicable processing and confidentiality requirements govern that relationship. Independent providers are responsible for their own processing under their notices and applicable law.
External platforms and other recipients. If you use WhatsApp to interact with Quicks, WhatsApp also handles messages and account or device information under its own terms and privacy policy: https://www.whatsapp.com/legal/privacy-policy. Third-party login services, payment wallets and app stores likewise have their own notices. We may disclose necessary information to professional advisers, a prospective or actual business successor subject to appropriate protections, or authorities where legally required, and to establish or defend legal claims. A business transfer does not permit unrestricted new use of personal data.
6. Cookies analytics and advertising
Cookies, local storage, pixels, SDKs and similar technologies may store identifiers or access information on your device. Necessary technologies support authentication, security, preferences and checkout. Analytics technologies help understand usage and technical performance. Advertising technologies can measure campaigns, attribute visits or purchases and, where enabled and legally permitted, support audience matching, personalised advertising and retargeting.
We use Meta/Facebook Pixel on the website and may use other analytics tools, including Google Analytics, on relevant pages or applications. Depending on the tool and configuration, data may include device and browser details, IP address, cookie or advertising identifiers, pages viewed, timestamps and events such as registration or purchase. An advertising provider may associate this information with information it holds about you. The tools and their operation may vary by page, platform and region and may change over time. Our use remains subject to the purposes, legal bases and rights described here; this statement is not permission for unrestricted new processing.
We do not sell personal data for money. Disclosures to advertising partners through tracking technologies may nevertheless constitute “sale”, “sharing” or “targeted advertising” under some privacy laws. Where applicable, you may opt out of those activities by contacting support@quicks.ai with the subject “Privacy opt-out”. Consent is required before non-essential tracking where the law requires it, and you may withdraw that consent. A privacy notice alone does not provide consent or replace a legally required choice mechanism. You can also use available device, browser and provider privacy controls. Information about provider practices is available at https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy/ and https://policies.google.com/privacy.
Browser settings can block or remove cookies, and device settings may control advertising identifiers. Disabling necessary storage may affect login or payment. These settings and an email request do not replace any consent or immediate opt-out mechanism required by law. Applicable opt-out preference signals must be honoured where legally required. For information about the tools relevant to your use, or to exercise a privacy choice, contact support@quicks.ai.
7. Retention and deletion
We keep personal data for as long as necessary for the purpose for which it is processed, taking account of legal obligations. Account information and the minimum learning information needed for personalisation are kept while your account is active and deleted when your account is deleted, subject to the limited retention below. We do not retain source audio, separate conversation transcripts or voiceprints in Quicks. You can request account deletion at support@quicks.ai. Cancelling renewal does not itself delete your account; deleting an account does not itself cancel billing. Use the cancellation process in the Terms to stop renewal.
External AI and speech providers may retain request data, technical logs or service-specific stored information for periods determined by the API, configuration, security needs, legal obligations and applicable contracts. These periods may change. We do not promise immediate deletion from every external service or that all providers have the same retention period. Provider notices do not remove our own data-protection responsibilities. Current API information is available in the following resources:
- OpenAI API data controls
- Anthropic API retention
- Anthropic model training
- Google Gemini API terms
- Google Gemini API abuse monitoring
- Grok enterprise API information
The Seller retains transaction, invoice and tax records for the periods imposed by the laws applicable to it; account closure does not erase records it is legally required to retain. Support and security records are kept for the period necessary to resolve the issue and address a substantiated security or legal need. We assess retention by the sensitivity of the data, the duration of the issue and applicable limitation periods, rather than keeping all learning content merely because a billing record must be retained.
Legal holds may require restricted retention of specific records for a claim or investigation. Backups are access-restricted and retained only for as long as necessary for recovery, security or a specific legal obligation; retained copies are not used for ordinary product or marketing purposes. Fully anonymous statistics may be retained where no person can reasonably be identified.
8. International transfers
Purple is based in Cyprus and Stickerplace in the United States. Processing by these companies and international service providers may involve access to or processing of personal data outside your country, including in the United States and other countries where the relevant providers operate. Availability of Quicks worldwide does not mean that data is stored in every country, or that all data stays within the European Economic Area.
Relevant recipient categories include the Seller, payment partners, hosting and technical providers, AI and speech providers, communications platforms and analytics or advertising partners described above. The destination depends on the provider and service used. You may contact support@quicks.ai for information about destinations and the protection applicable to your data.
Where a transfer is restricted by applicable law, it requires a valid legal mechanism, such as an applicable adequacy decision or appropriate contractual safeguards, together with supplementary measures where necessary. An adequacy framework applies only if the particular recipient and processing are covered by it. Separate UK requirements apply where relevant. You may request information about applicable safeguards or a copy, subject to necessary redactions, at support@quicks.ai. This Policy does not itself create transfer safeguards or waive your rights.
9. Your rights and controls
Where applicable law provides these rights, you may ask to access your data, correct it, erase it, restrict processing or receive eligible data in a portable format. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests on grounds relating to your situation, and object to direct marketing at any time. You may withdraw consent through the relevant control or by contacting us. Rights concerning significant automated decisions apply where the legal conditions are met.
Send requests to support@quicks.ai. We may ask for proportionate information to verify your identity or authority. GDPR requests are normally answered within one month; where a lawful extension is needed, we explain the reason within that first month. We do not normally charge for requests. Any refusal, restriction, extension or fee must be permitted by applicable law and explained to you.
You may complain to the Cyprus Commissioner for Personal Data Protection at www.dataprotection.gov.cy, or to the supervisory authority in the country where you live or work or where the alleged infringement occurred. You need not contact us first. UK users may contact the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
If a US state privacy law applies to your data and our processing, additional rights may include knowing the categories and recipients of personal data, deletion, correction, portability, opting out of sale, certain sharing, targeted advertising or specified profiling, and appealing a denied request. You or an authorised agent may submit a request or appeal to support@quicks.ai. Where required, applicable opt-out preference signals must be honoured. We respond within the applicable legal period and explain any further complaint options. We do not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising a right.
10. Children and security
The Service covered by this Policy is intended for users who have reached the age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence. It is not directed to children, and persons below that age should not provide personal data through this version of the Service. If you believe a child has provided data through an unauthorised account, contact support@quicks.ai so that we can investigate and take appropriate steps, including deletion where required.
We apply proportionate technical and organisational safeguards, including access controls, confidentiality requirements and protection of data during transmission and storage appropriate to the risks. No system is entirely risk-free. Keep your credentials secure and avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information to support or an AI tutor. We handle and notify personal-data breaches as applicable law requires.
11. Changes and contact
We update this Policy when processing or legal requirements change, publish the effective date and notify you of material changes where required. New processing that requires consent will not be authorised solely by publishing an updated notice. You can contact the responsible company at the address in section 1 or email support@quicks.ai with the subject “Privacy”.
